Re: HDU Primer Question

We use 15# or 18# Precision Board and the problem is with adhesion with the Coastal Primer. We blow off the foam and sometimes rinse it. Somewhere we were given the impression that we were not to thin the Coastal. Sounds like that is mistaken.

HDU Primer Question

We are having some problems with Coastal water based primer and HDU. Unless forced into the surface with brush or squeegee, it doesn't seem to bond. This is even with time to cure. So, what are you guys and gals using to prime HDU and how are you applying it? Or, what might we be doing wrong? Thanks...

Okay, boys and girls, guys and gals, the Fontry has a freebe offer “for a limited time only.” Mr. Adkins in his infinite wisdom and generosity is giving away FHA Eccentric French. This font is from the suffering genius of Mr. Adkins a...

Re: carved foam

That is a fine piece of craftsmanship. Thanks for the before and after. I know it sounds like a dumb question, but what is Corafoam? What brand of adhesive are you using?

Thanks for sharing.

Re: Questions concerning fonts...

Actually Mike, Copper Penny was first released last fall and French Eccentric about two weeks ago. since that time we have gotten a number of suggestions that other weights and styles of Copper Penny might be a good idea. I'm not as concerned for instant wealth or fame as I am some indication that w...

Questions concerning fonts...

My name is James and, I work for a sign shop in Tulsa. But, in my spare time I work with Mike Adkins creating fonts. Since both of us come from a sign background - mostly computer based - we design fonts with signs in mind. Now I understand that this is primarily a hand lettering forum (I'm not that...
