Re: Colorado April Lettering Class expanded

:D Hello Everyone! I just wanted to post a report about the Lettering Class that Jeff Cahill taught last Saturday. I was one of 12 students and I learned a lot! Some of us were a little older...some a little younger...but we all shared the interest and passion for the art and concern for the future ...

Re: Light Box chipping table

My first set up was simular to your truck bed...it worked but made me really nervous about the glass being damaged by a grand child that didn't know that it was there! I am currently using a heat lamp and a space heater combo that was pleasantly successful. However, the set up is NOT viable ...

Re: Frog Juice

The entire project will not be painted...just parts of the blasted areas, then areas of the unblasted glass will be painted. I've had issues with some of my current projects that the paint 'leaches' from the blasted area (under the mask) and creates headaches/heataches. I would like know how to prev...

Re: Frog Juice

:D Thanks. I have a 4'x2' x 1/4" glass project that will be indoors in my church. It will be a sandblasted project and it will also be painted. It will be the biggest project that I have tackled in the 5 years that I have been creating by sandblasting. How would you suggest protecting it? Thank...

Re: Newbie here saying hello!

  If you want to see where I am now...DON"T LAUGH TOO LOUDLY!!!!  Here are a couple of projects that I have just finished for a month long display/sell in my hometown, Conway, Arkansas. They are nothing fancy. This one is a 12"x12" on 1/8" glass that I blast...

Re: Another newbie

Mike, you are light years ahead of me already based on that mirror!

Thanks to Robare also for those hints. I had wondered about the speed ball idea, but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money for something that I didn't really need.

Re: Peace Gold Leaf Workshop

Yet another weak knee moment!

What an inspiration! One of these days when I grow up, I want to be able to do something like that. :D

Re: Newbie here saying hello!

Thanks Mike. I know that there are 'snags' out there and they are unintentional! It will be a while before I post any of my projects... It will take a lot of time and practice to post a project worthy of this board. I will hang out and read and practice some more. It just feels good to be abl...

Newbie here saying hello!

:D Hello Everyone! Newbie here! I've been lurking around reading posts for about 18 months or so. Somehow, I couldn't get registered but, thanks to Mike Jackson...here I am now. :) I am, by training, a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the field for 19 years. I call it my 'real' job. It provide...
