I found malwarebytes to be a good program to remove all sorts of evil code :) other than that Windows security essentials do a pretty good job and it's free.

Ugh this can be a drag, when I was abroad for a long time I got a local license which has to be renewed every 10 years..... For some countries it lasts a lifetime.

Been a whole isnce I watched that movie, should re-watch some time, recently rewatched Cast away and the green mile, two good T. Hanks movies imho.
