Thanks for all the info. This is nothing that I am going to jump into without much research and preparation first. I don't look to be doing in the very distant future...just starting to think about it.

Will hydrochloric acid etch...even if it takes a lot longer?

Can I acid etch fine lines?

I working on a design in my head right now and part of the design is so fine that I can't blast it as deep as I want without having the mask get blasted off. My question is "can I pour straight acid on my weeded glass so that it looks like it was blasted?" I don't want any texture like you...

Matt, I bought Sepp's Mica Powders Sample kit. It has any of the earth tone or metal colors you could want. Thanks to Kelly T. for telling me this, but I then went to the scrapbook section of a hobby store and bought other mica powders in green's, blues, maroons. One color I can't find is RED. Still...

I bet that I have bought 5-6 Epson printers since 1999. I think that I only have 2 left in the shop as some got ruined when my shop flooded last year.

What kind of plotter?

Joe,
What band of plotter did you purchase? It might be easier to learn to use it thru Corel.

Harder to wipe off.

Its funny that this topic comes up because I was just wondering if it was me or the pencils but it also seems that its harder to wipe them off. Recently I marked something (sintra I think) and I couldn't get it totally wiped off...even with Denatured alcohol.

Calicum Chloride

Kelly, I was going to try this the next time that I chipped. I just had a flood in my shop when my water heater broke and I hung knee highs filled with this around the shop to draw the water out of the carpet and wood flooring. I was going to make a blasting cabinet that would also serve as a chippi...

If I had to choose....

Larry,
I have loved your work and designs since the first time that you posted your website at letterheads.com. I also love seeing the way each piece is different. But if I had to choose, it would be a toss up between Kelly's and Doug Phillips. I like the more neutral colors.

How old?

How old would you estimate that guy to be in the photo? There is an old sign painter in our area (MI) that told me once that he used to be involved in letterheads years ago but would have no involvment with them now as he had something happen that was very hurtful. He wouldn't tell me what it was or...
