Re: LP's are back ! Born and Raised cover, John Mayer

I just got to get me one of these! I've got the CD, but this is way cooler. You're right Dave, hearing a tune on an LP is different. You "feel" the music too.
I'm very proud of you mate.

Re: Lear

Geez, that makes my stomach turn Dave. Kind of like watching a surgeon doing your vasectomy. Okay, that analogy was a bit rough, quite unlike the finished project here which is stunning. Any idea of how many hours you've got in this? I have the attention span of a gnat, anything more than 2 or 3 day...

Nothing much I can add to these comments. I'm just glad you keep posting Dave. When I look at this, I get nervous thinking about transporting works like this. Please post some info and pictures about preparation, getting it out of your shop and installed on site. Do you or your client take out speci...

Re: Screen printing on coroplast

We used multipurpose and enamel in the past. The coroplast must be corona treated. Most is, but not all. Vinyl ink won't stick to coroplast. Corogloss works well, but I never liked working with it.

Re: Peace Gold Leaf Workshop

Glass work is the highest form of the signwriters' craft. I truly believe that the glass work being done today is as good as any in history. Dave's work is the distillation of many modern artisans' unyielding dedication to the craft . True to the name Letterhead, he is recognizing and preserving the...

We saw the new movie on Saturday. I really enjoyed it. Bridges was outstanding and Hailee Steinfeld was very refreshing. She's got a real future in show business for sure. Indeed the signs were very good. Top marks in my books all around.

Just in case someone reading this thread hasn't done much research, please take the time to read this data. Even in a proper laboratory, this stuff is scary to handle. Please be...

Talk about talent and wit. You two would make a classic film I'm sure. As for the language barrier, we Canadians have been mediating international exchanges for years. I would certainly volunteer to be the go between, as I understand both Texan and the Queen's English. I'm a little weak on Newfoundl...

What a spectacular design. I really appreciate you showing us the process. I like to start with pencil sketches too. I find that they are difficult to translate to vectors. The vector art never seems to flow as well. You obviously don't have that problem. :D A real work of art Dave. Thanks again for...

Lots of eyecandy in Doug's shop. A fine collection of power tools too. When Rene asked me if I wanted to pay a visit to Doug Bernhardt's "temporary" shop, I couldn't believe. Well ya... are you kidding me?
It was a real treat to see the shop and even better to meet Doug. What a nice man.
