Re: Logo
To me it actually reads better in b&w than it does in colour. The one thing that bothers me is the redundancy of the "Je suis Prest" (which actually means "I am ready" in French) appearing twice on the image. I agree with Paul that it is a bit too much for a logo, but the cen...

It looks like they turned out beautifully Erik! But there is no sense in having two - you had better send Kelly one to hang in her new studio and appreciate. ;) All kidding aside, I wasn't so sure about the butterflies and flowers in the border but they turned out really nicely. I like the sim...

I guess that makes you the nice Letterhead.
I do like those old factory illustrations, and if you have a high res copy I'd like to add it to my collection.

Pretty! Did you use a ready made mirror? I'm guessing depth carved, cleared and gilded with variegated leaf and micas. Or is there MOP there as well? Am I any where close? I always enjoy seeing your projects. Maybe someday I will make it down there and we can recreate that tortoise shell look - that...

Great Link Doug. I especially like the Vaudeville Cafe one shown on page 2.
I can not imagine smashing a stained glass window like that.
The old picture is great, that must have been a gorgeous building in it's time!
Thanks for sharing with us.

Well I was up at the crack of dawn waiting for my cement crew. What you are seeing in the first picture is 1650 sq ft of insulation, 2000 lbs of rebar, 500 rebar chairs, 1750' of 1/2 pex tubing, 400' of 2x6,1000 zip ties, 1500 rebar ties. For those of you who live in the balmier places all those hos...

Hi Erik,
It looks like those panels are coming along nicely. One thing about you, once you decide to do something you follow through in short order.
Try not to stand too close to those heat lights though, I hear it's easy to get overheated at those parties.

Hey Rod! Maybe you should ask Danny..... :P I am a big fan of Picasa - it's free and while pretty useless for all but very basic editing it catalogues all the pictures on your computer and you can scroll through the decent size thumbnails if you are like me and not so good at adding tags. If I want ...

Re: Bruce Jackson's photo archive - 1 - rhubarb jar
Intriguing piece! I knew a little gilding leprechaun. ;) What exactly is a rhubarb jar? I've heard of rhubarb forcing jars that are placed over the crown of the rhubarb plant in order to make the rhubarb grow earlier and sweeter. This looks to be about the right size for that, but it appears to have...

Beta Testing on a project of this magnitude seems abit unnerving! Have you done any of the murals in any other clears to give you a comparison for standard? This mural is one of my favourites of the project. Bill works so well with these colours! I really appreciate the time lapse documentations, wi...

Re: Mounting Glass on Brick
I won't be drilling any holes in this glass as it is the vitrolite I spoke of in an earlier post and it took a lot to track it down and was pretty costly to have it shipped here. I'd be too scared of breaking it seeing as how it is likely ~ 100 yrs old. Here is a mockup of what I am trying to say. T...

Mounting Glass on Brick
I'm looking for suggestions for mounting 1/2 glass on a brick monument. The glass is 2'x3' and the bricklayer has made a ledge all around that leaves a 1" space between the glass and the ledge. The intent was to have a 1/2 void that would be filled with caulk, but due to miscommunication somewh...

Thanks Erik, Those pictures are very beautiful and very inspiring. I'm half finished a small (8'x8') mural from a picture I took of one of the buildings in Prague. It is an illusionary mural and it makes me really appreciate the depth and realism in the pictures you posted. Hopefully I'll find time ...

I really like the lowercase letters. They have a lot of nice swing about them. I'm not sure if you have uppercase designed or not, but the B you have there seems a tad lighweight in comparison. Are you planning to have it made into a font?

I went by your Chinese mural the other day - it looks to be holding up well. The locals love it as well as the other murals we did at the meet.
