Just a recap on dealing with my camera...right now it is in for repairs...not good sign, and am trying to work-out issues around RAW files. I have to say that the software that came with the camera is the worst nonsense I ever saw. What are they thinking of? Of course one of the first things I did t...

Dave...you mention using aluminum oxide as an abrasive..and yet your silvering is sweet and clear. What about the idea of the aluminum tarnishing silver and what do you do to deal with that. Also your glue deposits seem (from photos) to be quite consistent (thickness wise) and what do you do to ensu...

Just a pause to think of the late great F.E.Glawson...was 3years ago today he passed away and gave Lola (Mama Fine Gold) a call to let her know she was being thought of. She has enjoyed the phone calls (they're dwindling off) and especially the visits to Memorial Conclaves. She also was impressed at...

Compressor Questions
Okay....this is what I need it to do. Some light sandblast duty, not of the woodsign level but for some glass sand carving and need it to be able to run a sander. It's a small shop so this would be a single use not for two or three ppl at the same time. It also would be required as a nailer and if i...

Touche....and a great comeback. Someday we'll get to do this in person I hope. My romantic side really shows huh! My son is living in Edinburgh right now (on the Royal Mile) and he also worries about the practical things. The beautiful city/landscapes are slipping into the ordinary. However I do lik...

Hi Mike...as to latex...have no idea. Arround here we only use oil primer...as to epoxy...thinning is not recommened by manufacturer...also I see no reason to bother. I talked to a supplier not long ago and he says the BEST system for finishing is gloss latex over oil primer. It sort of flies in my ...

Glass Glue?
Have heard of an adhesive to glue broken pieces together. Am trying out the UV glue sold by Letterheads Supply right now on a test piece. I did a glass job a few years ago and a corner was knocked off during a renovation, but I have heard of something incredible for this purpose. Any suggestions?
