Re: New Video
That was great Rod. I really enjoyed seeing and hearing you speak again. It's been a long time - too long! There are some lovely footage effects, I really like the start. Beautiful work, although I have seen a lot of it before, the collective is even more impressive. Good on ya!

Nancy Bennett called and asked me to post this for her. Mark Baty is in hospice in Kavanaugh House in Des Moines. She just left from visiting and said their visit perked him up. While he is unable to talk on the phone, Jeanne has been relaying messages and reading emails to him and he is enjoying th...

Re: It's chipping, it's chipping!
Watching glue chip is so much more rewarding than watching paint dry. :) I had a tough piece that had sat in my shop for almost three days and was only partially chipped. I moved it out into the sun and within a few minutes it was popping away. An old friend (in his 90's) came by and sat down beside...

Re: The Art of Gold Leaf Glass Signs
I'm not saying anyone should intentionally post misinformation, but if there are inconsistencies or errors in a publication, then I think the constructive thing would be to point them out and supply the correct information. There are tons of historical documents that have errors, however they still ...

There is a saying - Done is better than perfect. Kudos to you for taking the time and effort to put that together Rod, if there are mistakes, then let those who catch them advise you of them and help you to correct them. It's all good.

Glad you are OK Pat. There are so many unforseens in this life, a good heads up never hurts.
Have you managed to do any glass painting since we were in the Czech? I need to touch base with you one of these days and get all fired up with ideas again.

Re: Paragon Janus Ovation Kiln
Thanks Dave, will you do me a favour and go here and tell me what you think of the suitability of this? I have only ever seen the kilns used in Kamenicky Senov and they are way different. I want to be able to fire painted glass, fuse and slump. I'm also somewhat interested in casting, although I'm n...

Paragon Janus Ovation Kiln
I've been kicking around the decision to buy a kiln for a long time now and I think I am ready to make the leap. I'm looking at the Paragon Janus Ovation as I would like the option to fire both glass and pottery tile. Has anyone any experience with this model? Any suggestions, warnings or tips befor...

Re: Screen printing on coroplast
The last time I screened a coroplast run (5+ yrs ago) I used a catalyst added to a multi purpose ink as directed by the manufacturer. I'm not sure about this, but I was told that multi purpose alone wouldn't adhere well. These days coroplast is such a common substrate that most ink manufacturers hav...

I use the Spyder 2 for my calibrating, which is supposedly pretty much the equivalent to the Munki. I see a big difference in the calibration on both, but when I place my laptop beside my desktop the colours are not even close to being a match.

Hi Kerri,
I'm not sure from your post if your entire piece is painted or not.
Just a heads up if you don't already know this, but if any areas are clear sandblasted glass, any clear you apply to them will make the frosted effect from the blasting almost clear again.

Whatever you decide you should make sure it works on IE. As much as some people hate IE, it is still used by a great deal of the population. Right now your borders are cutting off some of the text.
