Re: Sandblasted Letter Gilding
Thanks for the good advice guys...will have to try all your suggestions out to see which final result the customer will go with. How would I remove the extra gold leaf from the non-blasted glass? I'm thinking single edge razor. But I have seen the flat leather block demo...would I use that in lieu o...

Sandblasted Letter Gilding
Over the years I have done some gilding, but I have never gilded depth carved (sandblasted) lettering on glass. I have a vague idea of what to do...but I want to make sure I am doing it right by asking anyone on this forum if they have some advise for gilding this type of glass lettering. I have cle...

Re: The $277,050 Calligrapher
From the reports I have seen on the internet, the $277,050.00 is for a calligraphy staff of 3 at the White House. Not sure if the amount of money reported is just for the salary of those 3 calligraphers. The cost of materials might also be involved in that reported total, as well as other costs. It'...

Well now Mr. Christie, Mr. Baronian makes some more valid points, especially when it comes to the containers you use to mix and apply your solutions with. Sometimes cross contamination can occur if you use inappropriate or dirty vessels. Check with Sarah...she will tell which containers to use. Mr. ...

Well now Mr. Christie, I agree with what Sarah has to say about the Hydrochloric Acid not being a detergent. My suggestion for you to use it was based on my assumed belief that you had already properly cleaned the glass as per Sarah's Angel Gilding Instructions. Some Solutions Gilders and Silvering ...

Now that you have graduated to the big time what's next?
How did you like the dual chamber hand sprayer?
If it was not for you posting that patent #, None of us would have known about that dual chamber spray bottle.

Meta Tags are Dead! Or not. It appears from what I have read that some search engines do not rank or search for you by your meta tags or keywords that appear in the head section of your website. And some search engines do. What is the head section? It's the section near the beginning of your website...

Yeah, ya see, we are both learning. I didn't know about that glitch either. About the fact that you had to put some sort of tag line signature in order for your website link to show up. See, sometimes the student can teach the teacher. We all learn when we all participate. Now that grasshopper has c...
