Hi Mirella,
Welcome to the Hand Lettering Forum. Glass normally chips well at 90 degrees F and above, but it will also chip in cooler temps. It will chip on a good, clear, low humidity day that doesn't get near 90.

I have a feeling you are ready to ask a lot of questions about glue-chipping, based on this question, so let me suggest you go to this page:

http://www.theletterheads.com/lhparts/gluechip.html

If you read over all the different sections, you will have a very good base of knowledge on the topic. They should help you get your first few glue-chipped glass pieces completed. Also, I suggest you do a SEARCH on this forum for all instances of "glue AND chip". There has been a ton of posts on the subject and there is a wealth of new information scattered in those posts.

Good luck,
Mike Jackson
