Cars: Animated Show with cool signs

Post by Mike Jackson »

My kids were a little old when the animated movie "Cars" came out so we didn't see it at the theater. It came on a couple of nights ago in HD on our TV and I sat down and watched it. I'd certainly give it two thumbs up. Besides the cute story line and great animation, there are lots and lots of Route 66 vintage signs and neon. The artists and animators did a wonderful job throughout. Don't miss it.

I agree completely, with 3 grandsons, I have seen it a number of times as they have it on DVD. We also had the Santa requests for bed linens, pj's etc with Cars themes. I really liked the caracatures of the cars I grew up with, which really captured the common feel about them.

LOL, Mike. I saw the movie at the cinema when it came out and thought the signs were great too. I didn't say to the rest of the family as they would just roll their eyes and sigh.

When my other half and I were first dating she used to think that I was nuts when we were out inn the car as I would look at and comment on signs and vehicle graphics I'd see, now she does the same and I laugh!

Yep, great animation. I bought the DVD with the excuse that it would be there for the grandkids to watch, but actually I'm the one that enjoys seeing it.

Mostly, I keep saying, "How did they do that?".
