I have no time for guessing games, Erik.
You know that.
I got on board in sight of the Atlantic,
and before my eyes rot,
I want to see the blue of the Pacific outside this window.

Erik,
Looks like each building has some signage of some sort. It also looks like they are all vacant buildings. Hey, I'm just guessing here. Let us know so we can get some sleep.

Re: And the Winner is....
Looks like we have a WINNER!!!!
Congratulations Jeff!
Yes indeed these are the exact locations where the two Rawson & Evans factory and store were located.
One at 151 and 153 West Washington street in Chicago.
And the other one at 460 West Broadway in New York City.
Both photo's are street view captures that can be found on Google maps.
It seems that the New York buildings are the same, eventhough they are highly renovated.
And the Chicago building was completely demolished to the ground and replaced by a new sort of sky scraper...

How you comin' with that 10' x 4' sign you're plannin'?
....Get back to work!

I hope to make this one someday..... someday.

Blake, you're a poet and a painter. An' that's a fine sign.
Ya know what ya gotta do. Ya jus gonna wave that canon around, or pull the trigger?

Alright Blake, we'll just go on as we are, honing our skills and looking forward to that glorius day.
An' when that day comes, I reckon ya won't hear the sand blastin' over the crackle o' glue chips flying through the air!
There'll be gold and silver shinin' everywhere, an' mother o' pearl too!

Re: And the Winner is....
And dont forget R&E's last location in Chicago...that of 710 Washington Blvd.
They moved there in 1917 and stayed until sometime in the 40's.
It's now gone, replaced by you guessed it...a freeway.
Google it, and you to can stand on the bridge and gaze off into the golden distance and imagine what used to be.

Re: And the Winner is....
Oak Park? I don't believe I said Oak Park Eric.
Note to self: When on trip with Eric...don't put him in charge of the maps. You could end up in Oak Park!
But, I do see where my post could be misleading.
All the information I have on this location says 710-711-712 Washington Blvd. Chicago.
Even the R&E letterhead has that address.
What isn't listed is the "W" for west, as in W. Washington Blvd.
Even the old location of 151-153 Washington Blvd. was sometimes listed as 151-153 W. Washington Blvd.
So if you go to 710 W. Washington Blvd. Chicago. This is what you see...
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UT ... 5,,0,-5.74
The remaining building on the left of this view is 724, The building may be similar to what R&E looked like back in the day.
Chicago Historical Society may have pictures in their archives showing 710 W. Washington Blvd. Will have to check that out on my next trip to Bear Country.
And Eric, if you want to come with me, the guest room here is always available.
