Thom Byrne
I just got a phone call from Rad Bosselman informing me that Thom Byrne passed away on Friday.
I can't express in words what he ment to me and how much I always looked forward to seeing him at the Conclaves.
Good bye Thom

How sad....we lost another good man, and a good gilder, good striper and sign writer.
I don't like it none.
Never saw that guy without a smile, a laugh, and a humorous story.
Always had an energenic spring in his step.
He was a guy I looked forward to seeing, even if it was only once a year.
I invited him out to Machine...followed it up with a phone call to an answering machine,
never heard back............
May the Great Spirit watch over you Thom Byrne.
Aho...

A sad needless ending for a very skilled fun loving friend,.... seems to be a lot of bad news lately, it's always a shocking thing to hear. He always had a smile & a funny story, we all attended many Conclaves & other meets together, he will be missd by everyone who knew him.................John

This is very sad news about Thom. I met him on several occasions at the Conclaves and found him to be one of the nicest persons to be around .Always with a smile and fun sense of humour. will be missed by all.

Re: Thom Byrne
He was a very genuine person to be sure. He always made it a point to come over and greet me at the conclaves, even before I could make the rounds.
What a shame to hear this sad news.
His family can have some comfort in the fact that we all so appreciated him.

Here are a few more photos I found from this years meet. I told my wife about Thom last night. There are so many faces at the meet that she wasn't sure who it was till I showed her a photo of Thom. She remembered coming into the kitchen finding Thom standing there , dish towel draped over his arm having just finished cleaning the whole kitchen himself.

Re: Thom Byrne
Thom was a really good guy. I only saw him once a year, but it was always like it’d only been a couple days. Every year, he kept a smile on my face and a laugh in my belly. It says a lot that the passing of a man I saw once a year brings a tear to my eye and regret to my heart.
I look forward to Febuary the rest of the year. Tom and everyone else at the conclaves are why. He and many others helped, taught and challenged me to be a better me. I never thanked him, but he probably would have found it funny that I think I should have. That is the amazing thing about all of you that you share so much and ask so little in return.
Hopefully it is enough that I truly appreciated him, that I will miss him, and that I will try to become a better me.

Just heard the news from Rod. Another good guy and craftsan lost again. I only saw him at the Conclaves but he always managed to get things done and keep an inquisitive mind. Two qualities I wish I had. All my best to his family and friends.
