Thanks, Dave, for bringing this great little video clip to our attention a couple of weeks ago. Knowing the value of hand painted signs is nothing new in our circles (this is the Hand Lettering Forum, after all) but it's always gratifying to see someone on the outside recognize and bring it to the attention of the general public.

I know there's nothing "magical" about a hand painted sign since a cohesive design has primacy over technique. However, there is something unique about the hand crafted sign which is lost in some of the current technological advances, and I've had numerous occasions where I have been contacted specifically to hand paint something as opposed to vinyl or digital graphics.

Any thoughts (pro AND con) or stories related to that would be interesting to hear - either as a follow up here and/or on my blog.
