oil paints used freehand wooden signs?

Post by Stacey Stax » Sat Sep 19, 2015 8:12 am

Im very comfortable making signs signs using paint pens. Just recently ive accepted that i have to use a brush as well, using the paint pens for outline only. Otherwise i get streaks :x. I bought a whole set of oil paints. When I used them I noticed they never dry. Am I doing something wrong or should I stick w/ acrylics? And, is there a place I can show the photos of my work, in hopes of getting constructive criticism? I know im good, but am I good enough to make a living?

When you say a "whole set of oil colors" are you talking tubes like an artist set?

And see the [img] button when you post or reply from a host sight. Or Upload attachment below from your drive.
Sure I paint thing for my amusement and then offer them for sale. A brushslinger could whither en die from lack of creativity in this plastic town my horse threw a shoe in.
