Posted by CarolDarla and I went to a Pinheads Boot Camp last fall hosted by Mike Lavalee and John Hannukaine. One of the "finds" of the event was a neat little liner brush sold at "Michaels". Michaels is a crafts store franchise and you probably have one somewhere near you. The brush is a #4050 Script "Taklon", sold in #s 1, 2, and 3. It is a synthetic brush with roughly 1" long bristles. If you get a chance, find them. They are very responsive and are stiff enough to follow and can almost be "pushed". Unless pulling a long stripe with a striping brush, John used these brushes almost exclusively while we were there. They are great for curls, ornaments, and pictorial detailing and they work in either oils or water based paints. Best of all, they are only about $3.50 - $3.95 each, and often on sale at 25% off! They also last a long time.

I've said it before but will repeat it here that the Lavellee brushes sold by Mack Brush are great for pictorials.I have two sets.One for enamel and one for waterbased media.
