Run out of asphaltum and no local suppliers nearby? Try the nursery or any local hardware store.

The material they use to seal tree and plant branches is asphaltum. Comes in quarts, gallons and rattle cans. The spray cans produce a fine, even spray.

Probably more expensive than you're regular supplier, but every nursery, Home Depot and Lowes carries it.
