Danny BusselleA couple of weekends ago up at Ron Percell's Micromeet Letterhead meeting I was introduced to a new product by Krylon called "Looking Glass Paint". After speaking to the folks at Krylon, I guess this product has been out there for a couple of years (I don't get out much). It is a spray paint, when used in reverse on glass, makes a mirror finish. When it was first shown to me, my eyes kinda bugged out in disbelief that what I was looking at was spray paint. Well I tracked some down, courtesy of (800) 4-KRYLON, and tried it out myself. This product creates quite a nice mirror finish on glass. It's a little hazy when compaired to true silvered mirror, but for spray paint it was remarkable. My true application for this product would be to spray it over transparent color. The test piece I made created a magnificent candy color which would work well for backgounds or colored letters that require a more vivid color than straight paint. I sprayed it over some of Rick's Arterial (transparent)red and it really looks sweet. ...ah, yet another wonderful tidbit from a Letterhead meet... thanks Stephanie...

Mark YearwoodThanks Very Much for the Heads Up Larry.
Sounds interesting...I have been doing some reverse carving in mirrors and playing with painting in different paint effects from the back.
I have used golds and coppers ( rattle can) with some interesting results.
Maybe a transparent color could be airbrushed on the carved glass area and then this stuff over that?
