Your work is very nice and I have always been very drawn to those types of designs.
I would love to create traditional verre eglomise ornate mirrors like those in my studio but most clients won't pay for the intense time and labor required for a one-of-a-kind masterpiece executed in the ancient methods.

I am always one to think of different ways to create nice work, and try to keep it within an affordable price range. Constantly emerging new technology provides possibilities to produce stunning glass products at reasonable pricing.
I have attached a sample of a digitally printed durable transparent polymer ink on glass. After the art is printed, selected transparent colored areas could be silvered or gilded with various values of gold leaf.

Thank you for the flattering for me feedback.
I do not know where to start answers ... I used not real gold, silver, and their simulation (brass, aluminum), or hobby too expensive for me. Although small technological experiments conducted with gold leaf.
Apply conventional methods of water gilding and oil gilding and combinations of them.
Images shadows I engrave tools on the photo. At the tip is made ramps 0.3 - 0.4 mm, changing the angle changes the width of the line.
Blue square mirror - drawing brush to apply a thin light gray and dark gray color and is then silvered.
Blue and red background obtained using transparent stained glass paints and subsequent imposition of a simple crumpled aluminum foil.
I will add a few photos which can be seen on the process of preparing designs and manufacturing of products, as well as a small first job.
Option Gorgon turned out unsuccessful, but the idea is interesting.

As Erik said and the others the best i have seen with this technique and only 2 years, incredible artist, i think i will be asking you for advice soon on stuff like this, one of those techniques i have wanted to know more about. You have spent hours on these panels! Did you silver the glass after backing up the gold and silver? Thanks for sharing your work, love to see more.

I like the subtle shades and the way the light is cast, did you design them as well? lovely scroll work . I noticed the leaf is not a mirror finish, what technique have you used for laying the leaf down? water gilded?

look forward to seeing more of this work. I have clients that i could put your way that would pay for this all day long. Dubai is a big player with this work right now also alot of London interiors looking for this work and paying big money, you need to put a website together and Facebook with Instagram, social media is the way to go for everyone.

When I first awoke this morning, I passed the breakfast table and headed straight to my computer to see what would be the latest response here.
To my delight, yours is an absolute display of hand craftsmanship. I am in awe of your dedication on these pieces.
As my friends on this site will attest, I am one to look at things very closely. I captured your initial photos and magnified them to get a closer look at the detail. The enlarged photos were a bit blurry but from what I could see the absence of the usual hard defining line between the elements and intense attention to detail caused me to think that these pieces were simply printed and then enhanced with the gilding that you mentioned.
Your latest photo depicting the tools you use, and the partially scratched and shaded leaf was not at all what I had expected to find. I am happy to see that you have embraced such a craft and that you have shared your work here.
I hope that you continue your quest for feedback and knowledge here, and that you will share more photos as well.

Manufacturing steps:
- Preliminary compositional sketches
- Final sketches
- On the basis of ready-prepared vector images scanned sketch (CorelDRAW)
- Preparation of glass or mirror
- Cutting and pasting the mask (you can manually, but "Roland" makes it faster)
- Gold plated (silver)
- Remove the mask
- Scratching and painting over the image details
- Gluing background
- Scratching and painting of shadows

For the main parts of the image using oil gilding, as it is frosted and drawing on it more contrast and more visible. Oil gilding lighter engraved (scratched) because it has a much thicker material than water gilding.
