Pinstriping

Post by Jerry Berg »

I striped this bike over the weekend. It has about 18 feet of 23k turned gold with a plum colored outline
and some dark red stripes. The red only shows in just the right light. The guy wanted things simple so I
think it worked out for him. I also did the tank and ferring, those pictures where quite blury though.
It was fun to get to get a striping brush in my hand again as it's been a while.

Very nice, Jerry!
Pinstriping is something I've never done that much so when I do attempt it I have to keep it really simple. It takes a lot of practice to make those designs fluid and natural.
Glad you were able to pick up a striping brush again and throw some gold on that Gold Wing.
I'm sure your customer was pleased - it nicely sets off the lines of the bike and I like those art-deco inverted triangles on the back.
