Hi, After having a nightmare of finding dry rot in my kitchen floor and then having to replace the entire kitchen floor and put in new units I am considering reverse gilding a piece of 5mm safety glass and using it as a splash back to go on the back wall above the electric cooker hob. Thats really good, at first she went clockwise but then she changed and went anti -clockwise and then went clockwise again !! I think it proves beyond doubt the long lasting effects of inhaling solvents !! ha ha !! :shock:

Hi Dave, I have mix Owlets oil with the paint and removed the mask straight away, lay the project flat and the oil allows the paint to flow out a little and doesn't leave an edge, give it a try !! Hi Matt, Try Nova Colour paint, if you can find a local supplier, they are water based and have a great range of vibrant colours and come in matt, semi gloss and gloss finish, they cover great and are colour fast colours !! Hi Guys, I've never really seen any reason why I should use signgold, there is no comparison between that product and goldleaf on either surface gilding or glass gilding, I've always seen it as a poor substitute to be used by folks who can't do the job properly !!! Hi Will, I always suggest people should practice on a piece of window type glass, then when you have finished for the day you can either wipe the glass clean or wait until the next morning and scrape it off with a blade and the glass is instantly ready for you to practice on again.
