That's not just beautiful, it's PERFECT. However, I'd just change one thing. Can you change the griffins to lions? And maybe instead of a torch, they're holding a quill? Or maybe a chisel? Can you do both? And maybe the lettering can be something more, I don't know, readable? How about Brush Script....

I found this post in a very timely manner. I have used Gorilla Glue on a number of things bu for some reason not on HDU butt joints. This looks like it will be the perfect solution, especially when I have to sandblast thru the joint. I have a question regarding the storage of opened Gorilla Glue bot...

Thanks for posting this, Joe. I love to see a craftsman going through the "process".
One question: why didn't you hog out the background with a router then come back with a chisel
to achieve the texture? It seems to me this would have saved some time.
