Hi guys! I find myself doing these polished photoshop renderings more and more these days. Of course, those are are for nice jobs that we have in the bag. I was going through stuff in our recent move to the new studio and found some old pencil sketches. They sure had character even though they weren...

corafoam

Doug, we've been using their 20# for about a year and love it. The problem for us is availability. We have to buy it direct and in big quantity to get it here from Houston. That gets expensive. Topic: Alan Johnson.....Hardner in your size?????

Since this is an automotive application, I'm sure the reason for the hardener is to toughen the size and make it compatable with the clears used on top of the gold job. Plus you can get on it faster with the gild. Since Alan spun the gold, he needed an aggressive size base under it also. This allows...

Topic: Signmaking 101: Repeating a sandblasted symetrical design

Another way to do this is to draw half of the design, fold the pattern at the center line and pounce through both sides. Unfold and you have a repeat or symetrical pattern. I still do this all the time. You can get creative and end up with some interesting shapes and panels by drawing only a part of...
