Has onyone mixed dry metallic powders to clear lettering paint for shadowing or highlighting effects? If so...tell us what and how. I have tried this with Super Gloss Tinting Clear, Sign Restoring Clear, and UV Clear. Found that the UV clear is somewhat a little "brittle" and tends to chip...

Just would like to ask what others are using as a brushed-on clear for gold leaf on fire trucks, etc. I have used 1-Shot Sign Restoring Clear and Super Gloss Tinting Clear. Smith's cream for smalt glue (sizing)
I had the pleasure of being taught to do smalt by Rick Glawson many years ago (over the phone). He said to use Smith's Cream as the holding agent for the smalt. He said to use 50% Smith Cream w/ 50% 1-Shot (same color as glass) and it works great. I have also used "Dura-Finish" (no color a...
