what would be a good mac graphic program compatible with CorelDraw x5. (not into complicated graphics...basic/intermediate stuff )

is there a certain ratio of slow size to thinner that any of you gilders have found for airbrushing ? I'm using dux slow set size. my first test was at full strength out of the can...and it worked great ! a beautiful gild after12 hrs. on my next attempt (no changes to size or airbrush setting) size ...

i' working on a piece using cobalt blue (although it may be flash glass, color on one side) the color is delicious ! I carve on colored/rippled side. got piece from friend years ago (photo is test piece)

danny, top picture shows sign installed in 2010 , exterior. under large overhang. I used sophisticated (unsealed) . bottom photo was taken yesterday...all the "effects" are gone.

for those that have used metallic surfacers...
which do you prefer for exterior use... triangle coatings sophisticated finishes or modern masters metal effects ? I've used both with mixed results.

the problem criag is in your drying method "placing it in front of a heater..." sticky glue will never chip...it needs to dry, but not get hot...and your glass shouldn't be hot either. do a search on glue chipping here. I have a cabinet with lights and fan, but I find placing panel on ligh...

there is etching and there is carving and I would say deep carved as well, this is not an etched piece, and from the "look" of the t, a nice blast. the leaf color on the unpainted part of the o looks different than the unpainted gild on the back (?) is it ? vitaly, after rereading your pos...

tyler, no problem with clear vinyl adhesion . the problems came with removal. with the combination of blasting, summer heat, and leaving it on for a couple of days, it held with great tenacity. with each letter I had to begin with single edge razor at edge of letter to separate from glass and gently...

it's been re masked ,re etched, and re cleaned...and it looks spectacular !!
learned a lot about etching on this one . like water marks, don’t let the wet dry..wet and wipe, wet and wipe .... and lacquer thinner is a friend

as a post to pat's reply... you can't clean a deburr out but you can blast it away ..and your correct, I rubbed a little to much in same small areas. (with 0000 steel wool ...out ... line, out ! hahaaa) and there is more of a polish look. they took out the transom panel yesterday and returned to me....

not yet tyler...on my 8.5x11 page size in corel, I can only reduce the photo to 551 KB before it's almost too small to see on page .. upload instruction says max size allowable is 526 KiB. ??
