Hi Roderick,
I've used it on holidays.
I found it a bit flat, I think that is due to the wax binder.

Re: Gold Spray Paint?
I use Duplicolor Perfect Match or Motomaster Near Match spray bombs. When doing gold I use a few shades and mist them on in streaks, it gives some nice dimension/sparkle on larger letters. If using on plastic I use the bumper versions. Because they are made for vehicles they hold up well. The mica i...

Re: A Cloudy Forcast For All You Cloud Users.
Just a little heads up. I also got a letter from Adobe suggesting I change my password because it was possible that my account could have been one of the ones compromised. I did change the password, but the past three days I have had a number of fraudulent charge attempts on my card. Fortunately onl...

You can cut directly from Corel Draw with Roland plotters and I understand you can with most other plotters too. You need to make sure your artwork has no fill and is a hairline outline. I have a Roland CX 24 and Corel Draw and I "print" directly to my plotter. How to set up vinyl cutter/p...

Lovey piece of artwork. W&B are wonderful to work with and have been very generous to the Living Sky Letterheads. We're still hoping to see Urban in Unity this weekend.
Hopefully they'll add this beautiful glass to their website.

Beautiful work, well thought out and executed. I've dreamed of doing a large glass tabletop with an old world map in this style and method. Having run a few practice pieces I have great admiration for the amount of time and skill you have put into these pieces. Well done!

Re: Black glass
Try glue chipping some for me, I've always wanted to see how that would turn out. I'd suspect if you chipped it, it wouldn't look as nice because of the areas that would stay blasted would have too much contrast, but if polished or etched with acid after I think it would look lovely. Mica acid etchi...

Re: Black glass
Nice Eric, I'm glad you managed to find a source. There is no supplier in North America, but Dasha had told me there were two left in Europe. The black glass is beautiful and nothing I've seen can come close to making gilding pop like it does! I've managed to find some salvaged pieces for the projec...

I signed up for the cloud a few months ago when they had a 1 yr promotion @ $30 /month. I wanted the opportunity to explore some of the programs in Creative Suite to see if I wanted ...

Re: Film about the making of John Mayers Born and Raised artwork
The only time I was uncomfortable was when you picked up a mug of coffee or tea to drink. I still had it fresh in my mind that you had poured some acid onto the glass & I was about to reach out & stop you from drinking. Heck, that would have made a lousy ending. That's interesting, exactly ...

Re: eBooks for your portfolio?
You may be able to get around the people in the pictures by inserting a text box or detail shot over them in your image. When done correctly it can look perfectly natural. I often use an image as the background and then superimpose photographs on top in my books and it looks nice. Just for the recor...

Have your spoken to anyone on the legality of using the pictures in a commercial book Doug. I have no idea if there are any issues involved, but if you haven't, it's the first step I'd take. There is a whole lot of fuss on copyright and property rights these days, people are getting sued all over th...

I'd like to see a closer view of that carving as well as the panels. I've always been fond of Mucha, but since being at the Mucha museum in Prague, even more so. The think I keep thinking when looking at the easel is how it looks like it protects the glass from accidental bumping. Looks like a fair ...

They've changed the site recently and I don't like it's new interface nearly as well, but colourlovers has endless colour pallets and different patterns that you can try them out on, or you can just create your own pattern and easily try out different colour combinations. You could do the same in Ph...

Hope you all had a great time, every year I view the group picture with a bit of a nostalgic feeling. Maybe some day I'll make it back.

Someone (Nancy I believe) decided it was time I was a project leader. I'd be a lot more comfortable taking a few key team members with me. I have the fire department mural and think we could have some fun with ornate borders. More importantly, you'll keep me laughing so I won't get all stressed.
