It plays a little loose with the facts...but that's what to expect when someone doesn't do the proper research...and basically goes by previously posted misinformation.

I believe that Gary Godby turned me on to this many years ago: http://www.newchapter.com/zyflamend/zyflamend-whole-body I normally don't believe in these voodoo supplements...but this stuff works to relieve your tendinitis inflammation. I have suggested it to others...and all with positive feedback ...

FYI Alert....Rawson & Evans is a separate company from H.C. Evans. They are not related. Both companies were in the Chicago area around the same time. The mystery is whether Rawson & Evans made those decorative panels for the H.C. Evans company, or if some other company such as Western Sand ...

Re: De-lamination?
Well here's another thought to ponder. Is this problem area the area where you first started to paint using the black paint. Sometimes, after rinsing out a brush, dipping it in paint, palletting out the brush, and then starting to paint...you still have contaminates in the heal of the brush that are...

Not knowing for sure, I would think you can not paint with acrylic on reverse glass.
Someone else with experience of doing that might say you can and that it's OK to do so.

Re: Rawson & Evans store sign
Here is what I told Matt about his sign: Matt, Poor Pics, But Great Sign. Yes indeed a Rawson and Evans Gilded Sign. Judging from the photos, this sign dates to at least 1915. I can't see any lap lines from the gold, so that and its dark toned gold coloring would indicate it is solution gilded. Raws...

Matt emailed me some photos of his sign. He states the frame around the sign measures in at 73.75" long x 9.75" tall x 1.5" thick. The photos appear to be taken with a camera phone. Matt, If you are reading this, take a few photos of the sign with a good camera. You can email them to ...

Re: Value of 100 Alphabets by Alf R. Becker 1941
It's a Buck an Alphabet...which would make it $100. I've seen em go higher, I've seen em go lower. $50 and lower is a great price for the buyer. $100 and higher is a great price for the seller. In 2016 the book will be in the public domain...so plenty of low cost copies will be available then. The O...

Power Wash with Baking Soda usually does it, Although it leaves the brick area cleaner than the surrounding unwashed bricks.
Be sure to mask over the ghost sign so that you don't accidentally clean that area off.

Re: Glue chipping question
Well now, daily humidity levels in Florida average around 70%, higher in the summer and lower in the winter. Getting lucky with a low humidity level might just come down to you purchasing a dehumidifier, and then placing the glass to be chipped in a small room along with the dehumidifier. Maybe even...

Larry,
Did you brother take a picture of the back of the sign.?
There might be a rubber stamped name on the back.
I see the photo of the woman slipped out of place...an easy fix.
There are quite a few of these on eBay...here are some photos of one of them.

In Memoriam - Starr Bright
If memory serves me right, I first met Starr on the Letterville Forum back in 2004. Or it might have been this Forum. Whatever forum it was, she introduced herself as a person that had once worked at Western Sand Blast in Chicago, Illinois back in the 80's. She had worked there from 1975 until 1988....

Nice Score Andrew.! It appears to be a Western Sandblast Sign and not a Rawson & Evans. The current wood frame is not original. So don't feel bad if you want to switch it out with a different frame. You paid a fair price for it. My fingers are crossed that it makes it to you in one piece. The eb...
