If I were to buy lights now I would go for LED light panels instead of incandisent bulbs. Their inexpensive and give plenty of light.I will try and find some info about them for you.
As for the back drops I use medium grey with a texture painted on it and black. I have white but never use it.

The border is two toned antique water gilding with 23.5kt gold.I use dirty brown water size with soap in it to create bubbles in the size. Thanks Ron. The last one is a copy of one I did awhile back.

This last photograph was done by a professional photographer that I hired . He had to do alot of post shoot work in Photoshop to make the image work.

Just finished up the last of four glass signs for one client. Got them all photographed and ready to ship.

Been a busy month here in the studio. These three signs are for one client. There is one more in the group that I will be working on this week. Had to spend some time to get set up to expose my own screens so hopefully It will be a big help to the process.

Your print my come off if you print before chipping. The cleaning process for asphaltum and chipping is hard on paint. I haven't used asphaltum to chip in years.

If I remember correctly calcium carbonate is what they make gym and rock climbing chaulk out of Any climbing store would have it. Don't know if it works on HF though.
