I'm not too sure but probably around 1920's.The bevel is very nice ,I was going to add a gold edge but felt it closed it all in. the lighthouse has the usual cross hatched look but is shiny rather than a matt finish which I prefer. I like the simple techniques of scraping the gold off over the acid ...

Waterslide Transfers for glass
This is a piece I am currently restoring for a collector. I came across the instructions printed on the back of this print on how to apply it. It looks like a printed Litho but with a gum adhesive, it also appears they may have left the backing sheet of paper on. The gold is very rich looking on the...

E .R .MOSS DESPENSING CHEMISTS GLASS SIGN
Hello all. I Bought this Early advertising Glass sign a few months back from a collector here in Torquay. The date I found on the back is 1878, it is in pretty good condition considering it's age. The gold is a single gild of 23crt on the back the sign background looks to have been stipple painted. ...

The method I use always works very well. I am also like Rick was next to the coast so humidity is high here. I warm the glue up to a liquid form get the glass warm and the room ,sweep off the sandblast dust or wash it off works well also. Pour your glue on to your glass at the required thickness let...

Also with flashed glass it is possible to obtain different acid tones the same way you would acid an ordinary panel. The times between acid embossing can vary with 15 minute intervals to achieve the desired tone of colour. I was trying to find a post I made back along which showed some cutting into b...

That other bench is probably his polishing bench Wayne , saves time swapping over wheels when your in between cutting and polishing.
Some of the earlier companies would have several cutting stations working at the same time. Yes Ray you would think he could have found a decent chair to sit on .

I came across this image of a man cutting a design into plate glass over a cutting wheel. The work looks intricate, he appears to be working with possibly a puntie wheel to create these shapes.
