Cleo has arrived

This is the result of the 6 day workshop at Aliento Glass in Santa Fe that Kelly Thorson, Susan Banasky and I took from Bill Heug in the beginning of Feb. Took this much time to dry and then to be shipped. There are all sorts of bells and whistles on this: sand blasting, glue chipping, painting, mic...

Uni-frame system to hand glass

http://www.eubankframe.com/unframe.html will take you to the uni-frame clip system- I bought a set today at the local art store (Dick Blick also carries them)- seems to work very well for hanging glass without the use of a frame.

The full size is 12" x 16". The cloth behind it is just to show up the glue chipping.
The gilding at the bottom is 23 k, lemon gold and verigated gold. The black lines are my first successful silk screening. The colors are 1-shot.
Thanks! It IS addictive!!!

proper order in glass work?

First step would be any blasting/carving of the glass- but at what point is silvering done: before or after any painting?
Thanks- :D
