Re: Batching Photos in Photoshop
Rod, One way I know is to use the Contact sheet application under the file, automate menu. You then choose how many images across & down the page which will give the size of each image. Then select the folder where the image files are stored, and press go. It will automatically line up all of th...

Bob,
Wrights of Lymm have carried bronze powder for a long time and they have a wide variety.
I have been very pleased with anything I have purchased from them.

Joe,
I think that is a very good point. I did use HDU, confident that there would much less chance of allowing moisture in.
Ashley,
You had said you used wood for the letters, can you explain how you attached the wood to the glass, if at all, or are they just positioned together?

Re: Good to be back
Ashley, Dave, & others, I did my first carved fascia sign in the spring and was challenged by the issue of sealing the unit. I decided to use 1/2" wide double faced 3m emblem adhesive, very much like VHB tape offered by my sign supplier. I buy it from the local autobody repair supply & ...

Doug & all,
Have had this page bookmarked for a long while. When I need an inspiration for a storefront job, I'll go to it. Seeing it today reminded me of this post.

Re: Paint mask for Gilding Jobs
Dave,
How about glazes? I'm thinking since you have a kiln, you could use a glass color glaze with the mask. It would still leave the same edge, but when you fire the piece, the edge would be softened. I'm guessing a possible double bonus, as the color would be permanent.
Possible?

Doug, One thing you could do (I have photoshop 7) is under the file menu, go to automate, then contact sheet II. This is an automatic setup I use often to vew a folder of images with many on one sheet, like the contact sheets of negatives the photographers used to use (or maybe still do). You could ...

Doug, I was given the impression at one time that One Shot tinting clear had the same properties as the other One Shot paints, it just didnt have any pigment. I would tend to think that would be a good choice to use it if you were going to use the aqua from One Shot. No drying surprises, or other cr...
