Second that what John said. I also use Wrights and Handover gold due to the clean gild it leaves . Best gold I have found for glass work.

Re: The Ginstitute. Portobello Road ,London

Hi Lee. I gild from the top down one leaf at a time taking my time, no rushing! plenty of size in the area to be gilded but also extending to keep the next area wet and so on. I use to watch my mate John Studden who has this technique down to a fine art! he kept it wet and worked in half sheets dire...

Re: Burberry Film

Hi Lorenzo.
The matt finish was hand painted in a clear varnish and then when dry I used wirewool to scratch up the surface to bring it back to almost a frosted look, once this was cleaned I water gilded over the entire letters with 23crt gold.

Hope that helps. Thanks Lorenzo

I never liked this logo , When it first came out I had seen some really clever designs forwarded to the Olympic commitee and they ended up picking this one. Re: Prismatic Copper Leaf on Glass

Dan and Lee. I have only done it on small panels. It works great! My vision for large panels would work nice I think. My approach was all gold and silver (12)crt but you could also have a lined illustration before hand. Imagine one block of 23crt matt gold with areas left to add 12crt. Now with your...
