problem in printing post from this forum

Whenever I print a Post from this forum, I have to use the "landscapes" page layout in order to get everything. When I use "portraits", which I prefer, the picture print fine, but some of the copy is missing from each line on the right side of the page. Does anyone else have this...

cutting glass

Larry, I’ve recently been experimenting with cutting shapes in ¼â€￾ plate. I saw a shaped piece you were working on at a conclave a few years ago and thought how cool to cut glass like I had been doing with other substrates. As we all know when doing reverse glasswork, it’s really important to have a protective mask on the front side of the glass to prevent unwanted scratches. But when cutting glass to shape from the front, it’s equally important to protect the backside from unwanted etching! I have a question….. At the back of the concave cut I’m getting a slight jagged edge, which I lightly sand off, with fine wet emery cloth. When I do this, it breaks tiny little pieces of the frosted glass off and results in tiny clear specks. How do you avoid this and get a clean edge? Thanks

glue chipping

I buy glue in the sealed 1# bags and I normally get 6-8 bags at a time. I've gotten it from several places......Esoteric (and I believe those bags were marked with 5X), Pacific Coast Sign Supply in Portland , and a local art glass supply store. The label on these bags just say "glass chipping g...

exposure unit

My unit is homemade. It"s a 2' x 4' piece of ply with a 2x6 screwed to each 4' side. Between the 2x6's are three 4' -2 bulb fuorescent fixtures with cool white tubes. My screen lays on two moveable 2x2's that rest on the 2x6's; making the screen about 4" from light source. I use Ulano DLX ...

My site has been up a year or so and is primarily used as a portfolio. Since I don't advertise in anything, it works great when a referral calls and I can simply have them go to my site to see the type of work I do. If they are interested,.... they call back. I had been thinking about having a site ...

mirror

thanks for the reply Sarah.....I just got a call from Bill.....and the acid did remove the tenacious backing, but it also removes the silvering, and gave a slight frost to the glass. So that's not the way to go for the effect he wants. Hopefully Danny will read this and give some insight, and maybe ...
