You nailed it once again Jay. Can't hide behind 'it's only values' painting this time. Hue, Chroma, Values were all present here. Your designs I would say really have been stellar. Thanks for sharing. You've graduated! Mark ** a little Abe Lincoln humor. A man accusing Abe of being two faced, Abe sa...

I think of the man rolling his head on the table have a sense (as all of you have)

Publisher file. My first thought is 'here we go', how do I get rid of this individual.

Photoshop CS6

Just test drove CS6 beta and really like what they have done. You can You Tube CS6 features to see what is going on. Pay attention the 'healing brush' tools. The 'content aware' is really slick; pick an object up and move it arround. Fix your messed up photos in no time at all. 3D text too. Very use...

Re: Transparent Glaze - How to question?

I've never had much success trying to brush a transparent glaze and making
it look uniform. On the other hand, as a screen printer, I have always had
success sceen printing a Naz-Dar transparent enamel ink.

Re: Advice and tips needed for new Cutting and Design software.

The one big thing that seperates DTP and sign programs is the printing function to our large format printers. Guess I'm of a differnt opinion about my Signlab. Not happy 100% of the time but they have done a pretty good job for me. I have Summa printer (DC3) and Summa cutters and have real good succ...

So many people into the social media. Never gotten into the Facebook idea. Looking back, don't think I will. Your info is owned by the internet. The new norm? Very interesting concept. Is it really necessary is my question. I will wait to Robare's next post. An architect just left my shop. Doesn't o...

Just can't help but wonder how many are really involved with these social medias and their net results. Also wonder just how much time people might spend on those accounts being socially media...

Re: cut out dimensional lettering.

For HDU depending on the finish I want. Shiney: spray Chromatic Ti-Cote 1010 clear primer and spray with acrylic enamel. I'm inclined to believe though that anything with 'acrylic' to it doesn't need to prime. Have not done that with automotive acrylic enamel yet. Luster finish: I would go right to ...

Re: FYI, Computer Art Node Reduction...

I was looking real hard at Vector Magic. Without a doubt it's very good. I settled on Imagaro Z-Professional. It will identify a font from your stored fonts or it will actually tell you where you can purchase the font you need. Don't really know about the node thing though with Imagaro. Just checked...

Re: Work orders

Mike, Welcome from Frisco. I can see where your business would be advantageous to put down the type of frame you used, supplier, matte, glass type as the components are more easily defined (I think). One time I had a work order plan going on but with the advent of the digital age I simply put notes ...

The one wild card you mentioned was health care. I don't think people that are
sitting pretty with their group insurance know what it is like to have to fend for
yourself in the private health insurance market. I hear the numbers that families
have to pay and it really is a jaw dropper.

Here's the thing, yellow page ads are pretty expensive and I am wondering with a properly google'ized web site and all the cell phones that do the web are yellow pages really relevant anymore?
