Slumped Brilliant cut and acid toned glass panels

This really is just a follow up of my tests which were carried out for glass slumping in a recent post. I have just finished silvering these pieces ,they are for a pub called The Rose and Crown in Chichester. They are brilliant cut and acid toned, the glass is bevelled and I have slumped them to a m...

Raymond and Mark . Thankyou for those very kind compliments. It means alot to me. It's great to share what we do. Rick Glawson taught us that. Ray, I remember when I visited your studio in 94. I came away with a lot of inspiration that day. Thanks for sharing your talent and work with me.

Doug. I would love to have come out and done these workshops. I probably left it to late with the first one as there was only 8 people to commit to a workshop at that time and for the second one I was waiting to see what was happening down with Gary in Virginia. I will now plan these for next year a...

Slumped Glass Corner Sign

Hi again everyone I made a couple of these glass curved signs as a test for a possible job here . I made one for Larry White and one for my wall in my studio. First I acid etched a matt finish onto flat pieces of glass, then slumped them between stainless steel curves to make a half round shape. The...

flashed glass

My first one took a while Kelly ,by the time I had worked out which wheels I wanted to use it was about 4 hours cutting and 3 hours polishing the others were a little quicker. the star bursts are easy. I use a diamond wheel for these, they rip the glass out real quick then I change to a stone wheel ...

Flashed glass cutting

Hi guys. Just finished four little glass panels of brilliant cutting into flashed blue glass. I have only everdone star bursts which are straight forward with mitre cuts, these four were difficult to make due to the shapes of the leaves and the size of them. I made a few mistakes with one panel but ...

James. The collectors use that term from time to time over here just dawned on me reading your post , I also remember Rick using that term ROG. I Finally took some photos of the cut glass I fitted a few weeks back. The frames were in a bad state after 100years of thick paint, I managed to get them looking new again. You can see in one of the photos from the inside where the design will carry on down to the bottom large panels including the ...

I have used it on 1900 pieces to re-attach the loose paint. I mainly try and keep as much as the original paint .Remove really bad flakes tak...

Thats a great idea Pat. that will work well. I will do some testing times first. Infact the artwork is very detailed so I could just lay leaf over the back after slumping.
I start that in a few weeks time. would still be interested in your other ideas when you get time here.
Thanks Pat.
