Hi Charles, way back, i used some glycerine to combat crawling of showcard paint on a slightly slick type of paper. nowadays, i use it like oil on my quils,stripers, that is, after cleaning brush, work glycerine into the hair/heel...wash out w/water when ready to use again. Fine Stuff, Mark!

I've been steered into using acrylics,house paints, doing the work in tv/movies....and it's FUN to be able to work so fast, drying and keep on painting, heat gun if need be!!

Plus, now i get to have 2 separate sets of brushes!!

hmmmm, just getting back to this...

I actually liked the colour shifting effect.... but subsequent tests didn't give the same pronounced effect. I had used blue green backing up a light bronze powder. More testing needed, i was thinking of using it for window lettering, not with gold leaf,...

I was playing around with the mica powder, in reverse, on quick size, then backing up with diffrent oshot colours. Sometimes, i'd get a "colour-shifting" effect, looking at the work from different angles. need to do more testing.
