Signmaking 101: Ladders/Walkboards & Sketches

Ok, mike, not real tricky, but important, all the same. My friend was on a ladder/plank set-up doing trim painting on his house. He had been crouched down, painting for a bit, stood up, and realized, halfway to the ground, that he had fallen. The "wow, i'm dizzy after standing up" thing ha...

I'm still using my first stick, (a 3 piece alum. slip together number)bought in 1963 at Frazees Paints ...

Well, they did end up putting the finish coats of Cetol on the stern before I lettered it. Satin finish. The one shot went great, sunny day, but angle of boat kept sun off surface. Great day to be alive!

Thanks for the replies...

At that time, I decided to make a change, eliminate having to make the choice between using the computer and doing it ALL by hand.(that invo...

Oneshot over mahogany finished with Sikkens "Cetol"

Hi folks, I have an older ChrisCraft cruiser to letter tomorrow, it's finished with Sikkens Cetol oil finish. The Sikkens website says of the product "it breathes"...it sounds like an oil finish. I'd be using oneshot, letter with outline and shade, brushes, of course!! Any experince with t...
