Love it Tony, I to was wondering about the moisture issue, is that a sealed frame the glass is set in? Thanks Dave and Doug...Yes, Noels would be a place I'd like to go...Tony, the main lettering is done in Damar Varnish...When working with it in the glass stand I add some weber resin gel to help thicken and also added a bit of Quick Rubbing varnish to speed up dry time...Used the end of my lettering...

Man Doug that looks like quit the vaccum system, with that much air movement, will you need a make-up air unit ? I'm sure it will make a big difference in the airborn dust that plagues a guy when doing the finish work.

Centennial Mural completed with students help
We just completed this mural for our town's centennial. It is 24 ft x 10 ft painted with Keim mineral paint on Komalu aluminum panels. The historial research and designing took 150 hours the painting took 170 hours. We were assisted by the senior high school art class for one hour a day.

Gosh Doug, these are grand, truely grand...and the best part for me is seeing hand carved letters instead of the CNC routed...Beautifully executed (no round intersection), don't ya just love it.... Gosh Doug, these are grand, truely grand...and the best part for me is seeing hand carved letters instead of the CNC routed...Beautifully executed (no round intersection), don't ya just love it.... Hi Danny, Hope all's well and your keep'n busy...The client was extremely happy...I estimated my time in a bit low, but not having done a stage blast like this before it was a bit of a guessing game. Will know better for the next one... Thanks Guys.

Here are a couple more. We used anchor rubber for the stage blasting and we used hartco glass masking for the fron blast. This is my first stage blast. We drew it all out and numbered the stages and then transfered those numbers to the rubber mask. Blasting the glass took approx. 7 hours. kudu7.jpg ...

stage blasting of a kudu glass table top
This is a 2 ft x 4 ft x 3/8 inch thick glass table top. Stage blasted in eleven stages to give it the detail. The initial blast was done with aluminum oxide at 40 lbs pressure with a 3/32 inch nozzle hole. The surface blast of the logo was done at 5 pounds pressure and a 3/8 inch nozzle hole. kudu3....
