I work in Austin, TX and we seem to be having a big problem with graffiti the last few years. Is there a clear coat to use that might repel graffiti on a wall or even mdo? I I know that if caught early, the graffiti can be wiped off with mineral spirits or thinner on one shot signs. I tried to remove some on a sign that had been left to sit for a week or so baking in the sun and it started taking off the paint so I stopped and it had to be repaired.
It is so frustrating to see a piece of art be tagged by some little punk. I usually track down the taggers and teach them a lesson and put the word out. It just makes me feel so vulnerable to think that anyone can walk up, any time and just start spraying sending all the hard work down the drain.
A friend and myself painted this outside his business and it got tagged, fortunately it came off right away.

I have heard of clears that resist graffiti but I thought I would post the question here for craftsmen with a lot more experience than myself on the matter.

Re: Vandalized Wall Art and Signs Question
I used to remove grafitti with xylol or toulol, but of course it is a little stronger than mineral spirits, but if you used it real spaaringly on a rag it might just take off the spray and leave the one shot behind.
