Starphire glass or float glass

I know it is an advertising, but the video was very good in showing the difference in starphire or regular glass.

But is it worth the extra money?
Is a normal mirror, fo instance, made with using starphire glass?

Hi Erik. I used starphire for the two projects that I asked for help on using the digital prints. That was my first time using it and I will say there is a big difference in optical quality. As Jess's video showed, you can clearly see the difference in the edge color and that clarity carries all the way through the glass.

As far as mirrors, I believe that most are not made using starphire, but they would look amazing.....

Starphire is best because it does not change the color of gold or silver. Float glass tends to be green or blue but this is only important for critical color issues. Close viewing is my typical criteria.

Eric, I use starphire for all my carved , LED edgelite projects. Althought the cost is 3x that of plate, the end result is well worth it
