Dutch treasure unveiled!

Post by erik winkler »

I was at a firm this morning and saw to my suprise a glass facade which I never seen before.
It was a sign for a glass and paint shop that previously occupied that adress.
Looking at the fontstyle it must have been made during 1920-1930.

I showe my father the photo's I quickly mde and he remembers the facade very well and it being lost over time.
Now we now that it was probably blocked by a new company or house owner who used to live there after circa 1960.
Thankfully the new owners restaurated the building and discovered this piece of Dutch treasure and thought it to be of such high quality that it had to be shown again.

Now ya see there....

The burnished outline on the letters fade in and out with the bright and dark reflections, but the matte centers show from any angle.

Think about it!

Beautiful and effective sign on a cool building! Wouldn't you die for one of those lamps!

I love seeing international pieces!

Keep them coming Erik!
