2010 Special Pricing on Golden Era Studios CD Collections

Post by Mike Jackson »

Hi Gang,
Back when we were first noticing the slow down of the economy, I wrote an article in SC about some possible ways of rethinking our businesses and even getting back to the basics that helped us build our businesses in our earlier years. Recently, I spent quite a bit of time figuring out how to add a CART to my photo web sites, then transported that learning curve to adding a CART to my Golden Era Studios web site. I added an option to buy all four of our CD collections for a bundle price of $531 including shipping for a savings of $315. http://www.goldenstudios.com Of course, people can buy each collection individually. This all works with PayPal which makes the transaction very secure and hides credit card and bank information from the sellers. I guess I should mention the other option of buying three of our collections for the price of two. ($426.00 including shipping)

Interestingly, I put up the new bundle pricing on one day and had a PayPal order in the email box the very next day. I'd love to sell more, so if you are interested, let me know. But I thought it might be nice to mention it here in an effort to prod ourselves to continue to grow our businesses vs just cruising along. Paul Saul's article on doing quick sketches might follow along with these thoughts. With the Internet and email, many of us have become a bit distant from our customers. We ask them to send us the information by email and we do a sketch or design and send it back through email. Some PDF the bill to the client and they mail a check. It might be a relatively efficient way of doing business, but not very personal. If Paul actually goes to the client's business and greets them personally, whipping out a few thumbnails in the process, I suspect he'd have a foot in the door of landing the job over the person at the other end of the Internet connection.

Mr. Jackson,
I must chuckle now. My name is Bob. I did have a first cousin named Paul Sauls, I always thought it sounded a bit comical when you said his name fast. Of coarse I think those of us familiar with the New Testiment's Damascus Road Saul who changed his handle to Paul after bout with poor eyesight, may add to the common compulsion to incorporate the name Paul with my sir name, SAULS (no apostrophe between th L&S). But who really notices such things?
Thanks again for inviting me in Andrew.

Ooops...another senior moment! Sorry for the mistake: Bob.

There is a signmanker name Paul Sole from Ohio who hosted one of the National meets back in about 1987 or 1988. (I hope I spelled his name right).

When I wrote the last post, my overworked little brain must have cross-wired the two names.

Best regards,

This has been a test of the Emergency Joke Taking System. In the event of an actual joke taking failure you would have been advised to move to "Textterville".
