Why is it you think you need to back silver with tin ? Most commercial mirrors are backed with copper.

its not to back it up.. :D its more for a First Surface Mirror.....I know I can always clear coat them, but they will lose the whole FS Mirror apeal a customer is look for...

I know First Surfave Mirrors are made of aluminum just like most modern mirrors, I if the whole passivation thing works that would be so cool
