GoldLeaf Workshop England
I had a goldleaf workshop here a few months back and never had the chance to finish my own panel Every now and again between other work I managed to finish it up today. Once the other class mates are done I will get them to post there panels here.
This piece has some puntie cuts and acid etching throughout the letter which also would have been nice to have had some edge cuts and diamond cuts running up through this letter S. (time against us) went for a bit of a clashing colour scheme but I think it works once framed. The shading was all hand brushed and blended on the shadow of the letter.

Re: GoldLeaf Workshop England
Dave,
Over the top, as usual. What a beautiful piece!
Yeah, you're right - it really is missing something. Really needs the edge cuts and diamond cuts running up through the letter. (You've gotta be kidding.)
I'd love to make it to England some day to take a workshop with you. I have a hard enough time getting out of my own backyard, but it doesn't hurt to dream.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Dan
P.S. Great color scheme.

Hats off to you man!
Again, amazing. How thick is the glass and how large is this piece?

Thanks Rod. I think if we all had the time we could put some complex glass art together ,trouble is the bills just get in the way.

Much like early 1900's apprentice turn-out pieces. Nicely done as usual.
I think I am getting too old to learn so many new tricks or at least to have the patience.

What word am I lookin' for?
Apprentice.
Funny, I always thought patience was only required for things you don't like to do.

Tony,
Who are you referring to? Does Dave ride motorcycles? I know he rides bikes. That's News to me, I thought that I was the only known "acid sling'n biker" here a'bouts.

Tony,
That freak'n little monkey is quick on the gas- zip!!
My Harley does attract the women, but if I had a sexy tail like that, I'd have to beat them away with a stick.
I never thought of it till now, but a motorcycle AND a long tail are pretty dang SEXY!!

The bike I have Dave is only a small 50cc Aprillia for getting around the town,a bit like a scooter.
Anything bigger I would probably do my self some harm. But you are right there are some very nice bikes over here.,

It really is nice to see some pictures of work from the second best signwriter in the West Country
( somebody has to keep his feet on the ground. we all think he's a genius, but you cant tell him that. He'll become totally unbearable )
