Never seen one this side of the pond Erik, would probably need some electric work if you got one as I think they are on slightly diiferent voltage to us , would like to see one myself.

I have a 2nd SR stored in it's original box that I got from my dad. I just looked up how much they go for new. Wow didn't realize they had gone up that high. Maybe I'll sell it one day.

I saw this one pop up on Ebay. The case looks bad but the high tension lead is in good shape. I paid $175 for my used one 4 years ago.

Joe,
Your looking at a Jr. model which does not have a reostate. Their ok but If someone really needs to pounce alot of defferent thicknesses of material the Sr is the only way to go. With the box being so beat up it makes me wonder how the gut's are.

Re: Second hand electro pounce for sale?
Hi,
I'm adding my request here to avoid creating another topic...
I found this, but I'm not sure it's ok :

This one seems to have two positions too, low one is 12v, high one is 15v...but with a really low Amp (if I'm not wrong)
See attached:

I tried it:
it's working on the metal with no prob, but nothing happens on the paper.
I'm using a roll of paper used for meeting rooms board.
I tried with White kraft paper
And tried with a kind of "tissue" paper (silk?) in french we say "papier de soie"
To check if there was any trouble due to a lack of power (may be)
(Looking at the electro pounce one, I think you can push the power to a higher level...than this one / May be i'm wrong)
On the "tissue" one it's burning 4 holes on a 15cm line try...
Do you need a minimum "volt power" to burn the paper?
Or a specific paper? (Butcher one?)
Thanks for the help.

Re: Second hand electro pounce for sale?
I am wondering if you can simply build a homemade electric pounce out of a ordinary 12 volt car battery and an automotive ignition coil. Heck, you probably don't even need a coil. Just the battery alone would create a good spark. Adding a 12 volt pot (potentiometer) to adjust the power should allow you to control the intensity of the spark. You would just need some well insulated wire and to fabricate a good insulated stylist.
If you did decide to add the car coil, I believe that would increase the variety of materials that you could pounce. Say anything from craft paper, on up to something like, 3/4" plywood! lol

Thnx Vance!
Ouch ! It seems yours is definitely really powerful !! Ah Ah.
So that's the same stuff, but I would need to get a better voltage...
I'm going to ask a friend
