Using Original Oil Paintings as Backgrounds to Glass Signs

I have recently had fun in creating some ficticious turn-of-the-century style advertising signs incorporating original hand painted oil paintings as the background and overlaying it with some text of old products that I've derived from some of my old ephemera reference material. They were fun to make and were executed rather quickly as the only work on the glass was the text. I purchased these paintings from Dave Wood over in England. He sells them off ebay and his personal business website. They all seem to be fairly reasonably priced (I guess that's all relative). His personal web address is:

He's got lots of stuff to choose from there. Or, you can check his continual listings on ebay (hey...try to refrain from bidding against 0laredog0). If any of you make some things like this, I'd love to see them! Happy gilding!

Having seen this piece up close and personal hanging on the White House wall, the picture does more justice as a postcard; on the wall it's pretty tricky and deceivingly beautiful!
Nice work, Larry, again...

I took a thorough tour through his website of work(very nice...thanks for sharing)...and had a question. Does the work change or update frequently?...and I noticed that there were larger work that you had cropped the portraits from...Have you ask for a specific work or genre from him as well as size for your specific purpose or do you think he would be open to that sort of thing?
