Larry WhiteHow are they done? I'm talking about work like Larry White does.
Are they hand painted , decals.
What method is used , they look fantastic. Bob
Mike JacksonMy latest trend (tip from John Studden) is to just place the pictorial behind the glass whenever possible. I noticed that that's how Rick did several of his pieces. Hey, no liquid, no bubbles. What a concept. This works whenever I am going to frame the piece. If it isn't going to be framed, I'll laminate it. My latest instructions on laminating was to get the pictorial plastic laminated first (like a menu) then laminate that to the glass. I'd have to check my notes on the varnish mixture I was using to laminate with. -LW
Bob,
Check out the page linked below. It is just one of the many options for the topic. You can paint or screen on the decal paper (working on the surface in the normal painting method), then apply the decal to the glass from behind.
I am sure Larry will tell you how he does it, though I am fairly certain he has described the process earlier on this forum. Search the Forum for posts by Larry White using the "find on this page" feature of your browser under EDIT.
