Glue Chipped Glass Info/Sources PageWith all the traffic on this Forum in the past couple of weeks on the subject of Glue-Chipped Glass, I went ahead and created a permanent section to www.theletterheads.com.
I can probably add some extra links as I get time, but most of the base information is now linked off this one page.
Hope it helps!

Mike jackson - Brand New Step by Step - Glue Chip Against a Frosted Line

Mike Jackson - Two new pages added this morning (March 3, 2004)Howdy all,
I spent a couple of hours tonight (March 4, 2004) and created this new page, which is now included on the Glue-Chipped Glass section. On my last test pieces, I shot photos along the way. They might end up in an article or book someday, but for now the readers of the Hand Lettering Forum can see the steps.
The photos above is a teaser of what you will see! This project required using both the "standard Bob Mitchell" technique and my version of Pat Mackle's technique, so anyone wanting so see photos of the whole process will now get a "two-fer-one".

Glue Chipped Glass SectionHello again,
I got the go ahead from Jay at Milligan & Higgins to show their Product Bulletin for chipping. I added it a while ago and just uploaded another page showing the piece Pat Mackle did on the Wort Hotel doors. It now includes his original description and techniques. I may need to add a few more sentences if it is not clear, but the info got me started on my test pieces.

Bob RochonMike, Just so you know, your efforts realy are appreciated! I liked the link to the stained glass page because he showed some examples, I've managed to get the fern and iceburg, but I don't think I've seen the small schell chip yet, at least not consistant throughout the test peice.
We have very little humidity here in Nevada. I have a special tray that I set in the bottom of my blast cabnet, which is almost an exact duplicate of Rick Glawson's, and a small heat lamp that I hang from the top. Gets to about 100 degrees inside and stays pretty consistant. Seems to work just fine, and I get a fairly consistant chip each time. Robin
I echo Robin's appreciation Mike as well, as hard as it was to try and and take a reak I seem to be addicted to at least attempteing to get a good chip piece.
