Rick SacksA search on the Marbling found a company in Oklahoma City, "Marble Art" http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/marbling/index.htm
They have classes, and a large supply of combs, colors, and essentials.

I
Bill Cosharekwas recently visiting a stone man to talk about his new sign. He has a scrap pile out back and said to take as much as I wanted. Here are pieces of polished stone an inch thick usually one to three square feet each. Many different marbles and granites from all over the world. Very nice samples for painting models.
Oh, there was this one brown stone from Africa with sea shell fossills in it. I'm sure it would be an outstanding counter top or bathroom floor.

Excellent tutorials on marbling and other faux finishes. If you were at the zoo in Cincinnati 10 years ago, you might remember some of their demos & shows. They also wrote the book: "Professional Painted Finishes" and have a series of videos, available on their website.
The Day StudioHi Joe,
You might also want to check out The Day Studio. She sells video tapes with step-by-step projects showing a variety of faux marble effects. She also has a tape on faux woodgraining and probably others. I'm sure there a lots of others around the Internet.
Have a good one!
Mike
