Vinyl Behind Glass....What Do You Think?

I wanted to try a design or two and I was thinking of just laying vinyl down for the proto before laying gold after it has been chipped. This would be interior and to just show it. I would most likely screen print after the design was known to work.

Would it not be a good indication of the final look and what way might I do to remove any possible gloss work that might be created by the vinyl.

Thanks

Robert,
I was hoping someone else would answer this question, and maybe other have their own perspective.

Personally, I think you are the person to answer this question. If it is ONLY a sample, then do whatever you wish...vinyl, paint, or screen. If you are trying to hone your hand lettering skills, there would be no better place to try it. If you are trying to figure out how to register, chip, and then screen a piece, then that is the way I would go. There are ton of other variables, including how complicated artwork and how big the piece of glass is.

You've probably already figured it out by now anyway!
